CARE INTERNATIONAL
Â
IRDAC’s work with CARE has been focused on proposal writing, evaluations and program support, drawing from its core expertise in proposal writing, capacity building, baseline surveys, and project assessments. CARE contracted IRDAC to develop a multiyear proposal to the EU for a major education program in the Horn of Africa. The successful proposal saw CARE receive funding from the EU. Given CARE’s mandate to fight global poverty and provide humanitarian assistance, this partnership has revolved around strengthening evidence-based program design and ensuring donor-funded projects deliver measurable impact in local communities.
IRDAC’s extensive experience across multiple countries—including Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, and South Sudan—has enabled CARE International to leverage region-specific data for tailored interventions. By contributing research and evaluation expertise, IRDAC has supported CARE in aligning its programs with both donor priorities and community needs. This collaboration has been particularly valuable in fragile and post-conflict settings, where credible data is scarce and decision-making requires reliable evidence. The partnership illustrates how IRDAC not only supports program accountability but also ensures that CARE’s initiatives achieve long-term sustainability and scalability. While further details of CARE-specific projects may require direct confirmation, IRDAC’s track record with major INGOs underscores the strategic value of this collaboration.
